"I didn't start BuildNexa because I wanted to sell building materials. I started it because I saw an opportunity to make the process of getting them better."
My background is software engineering. Before BuildNexa, I was already building tools for real estate and property management — and every time, the same bottleneck showed up: someone needed materials, and finding, pricing and coordinating them took longer, and cost more trust, than it should have.
Gikomba has the craftsmanship. What it didn't have was a way for a contractor in Nairobi, or a homeowner two towns over, to reach it without friction. That's the gap BuildNexa fills — not by replacing the artisans, but by making it easy to find and trust them.
Construction isn't really about materials. It's about someone's project, someone's investment, someone's vision. I want BuildNexa to be the company people trust to help carry that through.
